Brewers Get OK To Give Away Beer In California

...Want free beer? Head to California.....A new law took effect Monday that allows beer makers to give away free samples at restaurants and bars in California. Until now, the practice had been banned in the state. Beer giant Anheuser-Busch supported the bill as a way of fighting back against the growing wine and liquor industries -- which can already offer free tastings in California. But don't expect a free can of beer. Beer tastings can't exceed eight ounces per person. The beer also must be served in a glass.
