... However, the uncovered documents shed light on their investigation, which alleges that thousands of dollars in prize money were exchanged from the dogfighting, the matches drew people from as far away as Texas, and pit bulls who couldn't withstand the battles were killed, often in barbaric fashion.

The papers allege that dogfights have been sponsored by "Bad Newz Kennels" at the expansive property since at least 2002. On Vick's Web site, he lists his birthplace as Newport News, "a.k.a. BadNews."

For the events, participants and dogs traveled from South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, New York, Texas and other states.

Fifty-four pit bulls were recovered from the property during searches in April, along with a "rape stand," used to hold dogs in place for mating; an electric treadmill modified for dogs; and a bloodied piece of carpeting, the documents said.

Fights would end when one dog died or with the surrender of the losing dog, which was sometimes put to death by drowning, strangulation, hanging, gun shot, electrocution or some other method, according to the documents. The property has an aboveground swimming pool, and investigators were seen looking into its murky water Friday....

The quarterback was not named in the documents. No charges have been filed.

For Human & Animal Rights

"IF" this person and/or persons are found guilty in a court of law, they should be put in prison for the remainder of their natural life. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!

I am a total animal lover- worked for vet's, etc. I firmly believe that that waste of human flesh should be tied to a pole, naked, and splashed with blood. Then, if Animal Control can hold those dogs long enough, turn them loose on him. Poetic justice.

this revolting piece of humanity should be locked up and the key thrown away. or better still subjected to some of the unbelievable acts these poor animals have been through. but knowing justice in this day and age, he will probably get a reprimand and will go back to being a talentless "celebrity".

This is demonic....we are living in the last days when someone can be so evil to another living being. God told Adam to take care of the living animals of the earth and we as decendents of Adam still have the obligation to take care of our pets and other living creatures.....if this story is disgusting to you, let this feeling incite you to become better people to your neighbors, family and other living creatures. How sad....how sick.....

I have never boycotted anything in my entire life but I'm positive I'll never buy product endorsed by or named after this monster. True this horrible practice goes on. I have worked with monsters who were involved with this crap and trust me, I called the sherriff, guess what.... I was told- so sorry, we have to actually walk up onto a dog fight.... I never could find out where a fight was going to be..I tried. these people are very sneaky and don't trust anyone. If I could have, I'd have turned everyone of them in. so, just to let everyone know, the sherriff's dept in tallahassee fl was worthless in tring to stop a dog fight, they didn't even want names.
