Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Sounds like the official in the video is saying it was the kid's fault.

I agree with you. It did sound like the official was blaming it on the toddler. He said the toddler was moving too fast. That is what toddlers do!!!

Why was the snake not contained? They were not at the zoo for heaven's sake? They were at the mall, right?

Video's not coming up now. Here's the static version.
And here's a link to Freedom Park
I would like to add, that I'd like to put my foot up whoever dumped the snake.

Pythons are not native to North Carolina or North America for that matter. Why would it be outside in this park? It is horrible for the child and horrible for the snake as well.

Some jack4ss dumped it there. It's like the piranha they caught in a river down east. That kind of careless lack of concern for the ecosystem will screw things up faster than anything.

The article said the snake probably will not survive because it was beaten with a shovel. I wish they could find the owner and charge him/her somehow for something.
