Back in 1973, Martin Cooper created something that would change the world forever--the cell phone. The first cell phone may not have been pocketable, but were it not for Martin Cooper and his brilliant invention, we wouldn't be walking around with phones in our trousers.
This man deserves a lot of respect. His opinion of a phone holds a great deal of weight, and apparently, he's pretty fond of Android. C-SPAN recently had an interview with Cooper where they discussed the wireless spectrum and the politics involved. When asked which cell phone Cooper uses, here was his response:
"It depends when you ask me. I uh, always have the latest cell phone, and I try every cell phone out
